The Weil McLain Ultra Series 3 Modulating Condensing Gas Boiler Comes in five models that range from 80 MBH to 310 MBH all with 20 – 100% modulation and have efficiencies in the range of 92 – 93% AFUE. The Weil McLain Ultra Series 3 is a Low NOx burner which means it puts out very low levels of Nitrogen Oxides which is a major component of photochemical smog, causing NOx emissions to be regulated in some parts of the country. The Modulating Burner burns between 20 and 100% using only as much fuel as you need to provide heat to your home. The Condensing Boiler design soaks so much heat out of the flue gases that were previously unused in older designs that the steam in the flue gases condenses back into water making these ultra high efficiencies possible. The Weil McLain Ultra Series 3 Gas Boiler features a stainless steel burner assembly, aluminum boiler for better heat transfer, 30 PSI relief valve, drain valve, direct spark ignition, variable speed blower, venture mixing system with air silencer, negative pressure regulated gas valve, 50 VA transformer, dual scale T & P Gauge, sensors for outlet water, inlet water, outside temperature, flue gas temperature, and system temperature. Also provided is a Taco circulator pump, side wall vent air termination kit, power switch, service receptacle, condensate trap with drain tee assembly, and a propane conversion orifice on some models.
The Weil McLain Ultra Series 3 also features a unique control module referred to as the U – Control Module. The U – Control Module features a 3.5” LCD screen where the functions of your boiler can be read including service scheduling, proper function, service alerts to tell technicians problems The U – Control Module also provides temperature management giving you the chance to have one boiler with up to 3 different temperature set points for operating zones with different temperature requirements.
