Trane Inc. has a long history in the Heating and Cooling Industry, Trane was founded by a Wisconsin plumber named James Trane in 1885 who invented a low pressure heating system called the Trane Vapor Heating System. In 1910 James and his son Rueben started manufacturing operations as The Trane Company. Since then the company has been a leader in the heating industry and is now a division of Ingersoll Rand. Trane manufactures a full line of heating products, and has been making cooling products since 1931.

The Trane XL19i Heat Pump has communicating technology called ComfortLink II that allows the different parts of your system to communicate with each other so your system automatically charges itself, configures and calibrates for maximum performance and efficiency. When the Telephone Access Module option is added you can adjust settings and receive system updates by phone. Your Trane Dealer can also access the system by phone to interact with the system obtaining real time data for diagnostic purposes. The Trane XL19i has two compressors for trimming the systems energy use. This is like having two systems in one for maximum efficiency under any load condition. The XL19i Heat Pump also offers full-side louvered panels, a weather resistant top to shield the components, a tough baked-on powder coat finish, corrosion resistant fasteners, a double row Spine Fin coil, a rust proof base pan, 2-Stage Cooling and 3-Stage Heating, a multi-stage fan, low-resistance airflow, and sound insulation on the compressors to quiet the system. Trane offers a 12 Year limited warranty on the compressor, 10 Year limited warranty on the outdoor coil, 10 Year limited warranty on internal functional parts, and optional extended warranties are available.
