Trane XL14i Super Efficiency Heat Pump Review




The Trane XL14i Super Efficiency Heat Pump offers seven models ranging in size from 1.5 tons to 5 tons using R-22 Refrigerant with cooling capacity of 18,000 to 60,000 BTUH. The Trane XL14i efficiency ratings of up to 15.50 SEER and HSPF up to 9.0 make it eligible to carry the Energy Star Seal. This year being Energy Star rated is very important as a variety of rebate and grants come together to make installing energy efficient heating and cooling systems more affordable than ever before. This fall an Appliance Stimulus Package is coming out with Rebates of $50 – 200 available, the Weatherization Assistance Package is offering Grants of up to $6500 to those who qualify, and Income Tax Credits are also available

The Trane XL14i Heat Pump offers a quiet running single stage Climatuff compressor, full-side louvered panels, a weather resistant top to shield the components, a tough baked-on powder coat finish, a Spine Fin outdoor coil, a rust proof base pan, an advanced fan system, and sound insulation on the compressors to help keep the compressor quiet. Trane offers a 12 Year limited warranty on the compressor, 10 Year limited warranty on the outdoor coil, 10 Year limited warranty on internal functional parts, and optional extended warranties are available.
