The Slant Fin Eutectic EC-10 Series Oil Fired Boilers are cast iron boilers that come with 3 to 6 section boilers depending on the model selected. The boiler is supplied with the burner separate allowing you to select a Beckett AFG, Carlin EZ-1HP or, a Riello R-40 Series oil burner. The EC-10 Series Boilers have a proprietary thermal shock and corrosion resistant cast iron that is used in their manufacture allowing lower temperature operation and the lower energy costs associated with outdoor reset controls controlling low temperature operation. The high efficiency comes from a three-pass heat exchanger with special baffles designed to direct more of the heat from the burner into the heat exchanger. The long passageways of the heat exchanger on the Slant Fin Eutectic EC-10 Series Oil Fired Boilers keep the burner and its flame noise quiet yet are easily cleaned by opening the large swing open door on the front of the boiler with its reversible hinges allowing it to swing to either side and the baffles are easily removed to allow brushing of the flueways. If you have a chimney in poor condition or, don’t have one at all the Slant Fin Eutectic EC-10 Series Oil Fired Boilers can be direct vented through a single wall hole with a direct venting kit from Slant Fin. The EC-10 Series Boilers do not have a Domestic Hot Water coil but when a high efficiency indirect water heater is connected on a separate zone you can have almost limitless hot water. The control panel has the temperature pressure gauge mounted in the panel as well as the controls for the Honeywell aquastat. There is even room in the control panel for installation of the optional Tekmatic SF-10 control which can further enhance the efficiency of your boiler by allowing low temperature operation. A 1-Year Warranty is provided for parts on the entire boiler followed by a Lifetime Pro-Rated Warranty on the heat exchanger for the original purchaser and 25-Year Warranty for persons whom the warranty was transferred to.
