Rite Durafin 160 PSI Industrial Boiler

The Rite Durafin 160 PSI Industrial Boiler is a high efficiency closed loop boiler with 29 models firing at rates from 300 – 10,000 MBH, the Rite Engineering & Manufacturing Corp. of Downey, California manufactures Rite Boilers.

Its founder Eric Pridonoff first opened the Rite Engineering & Manufacturing Corp. for business in 1952 in Los Angeles, introducing their Section IV Water and Steam Packaged Water Tube Boiler Lines. Through the years their product line grew shipping units throughout the US and Canada even shipping 1,100 boilers to Vietnam in 1968. in 1971 the company was purchased by John Coe from its founder. In 1989 Rite Boilers installed their first Low NOx Rite Boiler and continuing their efforts in efficiency and emissions developed the E-Series High Efficiency boilers through 1994-97. Rite Boilers recognizing scaling of the boiler tubes as a problem which lowers efficiencies makes their boilers with removable panels front and rear for easy cleaning of the boiler tubes. In 2001 Rite Engineering & Manufacturing started R&D on their Durafin Boiler line shipping the first unit in 2007. The Rite Boiler line includes a full series of auxiliary equipment including condensate return systems, blow down tanks, automatic timed surface blow down controls, reflex water gauges, and custom control panels, while continuing to be a family owned and operated company. With their early focus on efficiencies and Low NOx boilers, continued R&D, with new technology testing, and one of the best warranties in the industry, Rite Engineering & Manufacturing Corp. is poised to help you with the new EPA MACT rule compliance on commercial, industrial, and institutional boilers.

The Rite Durafin 160 PSI Industrial Boiler has the highest non-condensing efficiency possible, with Low NOX emissions also. The Durafin has a sealed combustion chamber and uses outside air for combustion so heated room air is not wasted. The Rite Durafin Boiler is ETL Listed so it is tested to UL, ANSI, CSA, ASTM, and NFPA standards proving compliance with electrical, gas, and other safety standards used in North America. The Rite Durafin Boilers are designed with easy maintenance in mind and have no u-bends in the boiler tubing, which can hinder cleaning of scale from the tubes. Rite Engineering & Manufacturing Corp. has designed the Durafin Boilers recognizing that clean scale free tubes are critical to maintaining the highest possible efficiencies, they recognize that it doesn’t matter what the efficiency of a new boiler is when the tubes cannot be cleaned. With only 1/50” of scale fuel consumption increases by 5%, and in a very dirty boiler with ½” of scale in the tubes 150% more fuel is required, so Rite Boilers are designed with removable front and back panels allowing easy cleaning where you can see straight through the tubes when cleaning and maintain new boiler efficiencies. Cleaning boilers like this simply is not possible with bent tube, copper fin tube, and cast iron boilers

The Rite Durafin Boilers can be fired on natural or, LP gas or, #2 – #6 fuel oil with a thermal efficiency of 84% on all 29 models firing at rates from 300 – 10,000 MBH. They feature a flame observation port, the front and rear swing doors have removable hinge pins if swing clearance is a problem, front and rear hose drains valves, with low water cut offs, air elimination, and safety relief valves mounted on the top of the unit. The burners on units up to 2,000 MBH can operate on single or 3-phase electrical power and the burners 2,250 MBH and above operate on 3-phase electrical power. The burner control panel is available in a 23” wide panel with up to 9 lights, and a 36” wide panel with up to 16 lights, for indicating status and faults. All the relays and timer delays in the control panel have status indicator lights, which aid in troubleshooting.

The Rite Durafin 160 PSI Industrial Boilers have a unique design feature that eliminates thermal shock, which can happen to any pressure vessel as it expands and contracts with changing temperatures. Boilers subjected to thermal shock can have welds or, cast iron crack, warped or loose tubes, or, stay rods break, as a 12’ long tube will expand in length by a ¼” when it undergoes a 140 F temperature change.  The Rite Boilers are constructed with a lineal slide assembly on one end of the boiler tubes allowing the rear header box to slide back and forth absorbing and expansion or contraction of the pressure vessel. This design allows Rite Engineering & Manufacturing Corp. to confidently offer one of the longest warranties against thermal shock in the industry.

The Rite Durafin 160 PSI Industrial Boilers are supplied with a 25-Year Limited Non Pro-Rated Thermal Shock Parts Warranty from date of manufacture on the pressure vessel, 25-Year Limited Non Pro-Rated Waterside Tube Erosion Parts Warranty from date of manufacture, with an additional Limited Warranty for 18-Months from date of shipment or, 12-Months from start up, whichever occurs first on the entire unit for parts and components made by Rite boilers. Controls, valves, and instruments made by other manufacturers are generally covered for this same period. Obtain the full warranty details from Rite Engineering & Manufacturing Corp.
