The Polaris 65 Turbo Turtle Above Ground Pool Cleaner uses the force of water returning from your pool filter to sweep your above ground pool clean of dirt and debris in as little a three hours.
The Polaris 65 Turbo Turtle Above Ground Pool Cleaner can clean any above ground pool up to five feet deep. The Polaris 65 Turbo Turtle connects via a hose and pressure relief valve to the filter return line sending the water to the surface module where part of the water flow is distributed to 4 water jets facing in different directions. The water flow to the jets is controlled by a valve, which randomly changes which jets receive the water flow every fifteen to twenty-five seconds. The Turbo Turtle has five wheels that allow the Turtle to roll along the sides while the jets blast the side of the pool clean. From the surface module of the Polaris 65 Turbo the balance of the water is sent through a hose down to the jet sweep assembly. The jet sweep assembly drags a filter bag behind it as it scoots across the bottom with the water jets on the jet assembly sweeping debris off the bottom of the pool and into the filter bag.
- The first step in installing the Turbo Turtle is to connect the float hose and pressure relief valve to the return line. The turbo Turtle is supplied with a connector that fits a threaded 1 ½” return but can also fit 1 ¼” and 2” eyeball fittings with the optional Polaris adapter kit #6-510-00.
- The second step is to measure the deepest part of the pool and cut the sweep hose two feet longer than the deepest depth of the pool. Then assembling the jet sweep onto the hose and connecting it to the surface module.
- The final step is to extend the float hose across the pool to the furthest point from the return connection and cut the hose four feet shorter than that distance. When the hose is in use and under pressure it will stretch and the surface module should extend to within one foot of the pool was at the furthest point. Once the hose has been assembled to the proper length you will then be ready to turn it on and start cleaning your pool.
Once the Polaris 65 Turbo Turtle is operating some fine tuning with the pressure relief valve may be needed to ensure that the Turbo Turtle operates correctly and maintenance is easy with periodic cleanings of the filter screen at the return connection and cleaning the filter bag which is as simple as pressing two buttons to remove the bag from the jet sweep and turning the bag inside out to remove the debris.
The Polaris 65 Turbo Turtle is a simple design that should give you years of trouble free service and is given a 1-Year Warranty by the manufacturer.
