The Peerless PSCII Series Gas Boilers come in 4 sizes from 65 MBH to 150 MBH input and have efficiencies as high as 86%AFUE. The PSC II’s are Energy Star rated, direct vented and have sealed combustion chambers using outside air for combustion minimizing heat loss. The Peerless PSC II series boilers can be fired on either natural gas or, LP gas and have a Honeywell SmartValve that controls the burner functions including an Intermittent Pilot light that only lights when heat is called for saving gas. The boilers are cast iron with 3 to 6 sections depending on the size boiler selected and are joined with steel push nipples. The boiler has an enamel finished steel jacket and is fully insulated to prevent heat loss.
The Peerless PSC II Series Gas Boilers are fully packaged and ready for installation included, as standard equipment is a 30-PSI relief valve, the Honeywell SmartValve with intermittent ignition, temperature and pressure gauge, and the insulated and enameled steel jacket. The wall thimble is also supplied as standard equipment and allows the exhaust and intake air to flow through only one wall opening. Supplied safety equipment includes the limit control, flame rollout safety switch, differential pressure switch, and a non-combustible floor pan. The Peerless PSCII Series Gas Boilers also have a drain valve supplied as well as the induced draft fan, enclosed air inlet box and a Taco 007 circulator pump. The cast iron boiler sections are assembled with steel push nipples and are fully tested for leaks at the factory. Available as options are a 50-PSI relief valve, Grundfos circulator pumps, and a thimble for venting that is 28” long.
The Peerless PSCII Series Gas Boilers have a full One-Year Warranty on the boiler and a Limited Lifetime Warranty on the boilers sections in residential use. Many manufacturers only offer a pro-rated warranty on the boiler sections making Peerless one of the best warranty programs available.
The Peerless PSC II Series Gas Boilers do not have a domestic hot water coil so the domestic hot water can be heated in an indirect water heater as a zone off the PSC Series Boilers. Peerless offers the Peerless Partner Indirect Water Heater, which has better than 2 times the recovery rate of a gas water heater and up to 5 times the recovery of an electric water heater. The Partner has a 316l Stainless Steel Tank with a Cupronickel Heat Exchanger and a plastic outer jacket with 2” insulation making it the perfect match for a Peerless PSC II Gas Boiler.
