Kleen-Machine Robotic Pool Cleaner Review

The Kleen-Machine Robotic Pool Cleaner can clean a pool up to 20’ X 40’ X 8’ in as little as one hour. The Kleen-Machine is a wall-to-wall pool cleaner that will clean the entire floor of the pool even slopes and coves, shutting off automatically after two hours of operation.

The Kleen-Machine Robotic Pool Cleaner by Smartpool Inc. of Lakewood, NJ. is manufactured in an ISO-9000 facility for sale at Costco and BJ’s Wholesale Clubs. The Kleen-Machine appears to be based on the Smartpool Nitro #NC-32 in appearance and specifications but is a different name and color. The Kleen-Machine can clean any in ground pool even vinyl, concrete or, fiberglass. The Kleen machine has a very large micro-filter bag, which is twice as large as the filters in other robotic pool cleaners. The micro-filter bag in addition to holding a large amount of dirt and debris assists the filter in cleaning the pool’s water easing the demands on the filter instead of increasing the demand like suction pool cleaners would. The Kleen-Machine can save you up to 50% on your pool filtration and backwashing costs and helps to evenly distribute your pool chemistry reducing the pool chemical costs up to 30%.  The filter bag is easily cleaned after use by unsnapping the bottom cover off the pool cleaner removing the filter bag and rinsing the filter bag clean with a garden hose. The filter bag can also be washed in the washing machine as well. The Kleen-Machine is powered safely by a transformer and a fifty-foot long power cord and is ETL Listed to UL standards ensuring safety.

The Kleen-Machine PTKM100 Robotic Pool Cleaner doesn’t require any installation and can easily be stored then wheeled out for use on the optional Smartpool Universal Carry Caddy. Just plug in the transformer and cord then lower the Kleen-Machine into the water by the handle then let it drop to the bottom of the pool and turn on the switch at the transformer. The Kleen-Machine weighs only 8 1/2 lbs. not including the transformer and when in water has nearly neutral buoyancy so it will slowly settle to the bottom of the pool. The Kleen-Machine will go into action scrubbing and vacuuming the entire pool bottom. If the Kleen-Machine gets stuck on something sensors in the unit detect the pool cleaner being stuck and they momentarily shut off the vacuum motor which allows the front of the unit to float up allowing the brush to propel the unit past the obstruction to a new direction of travel then the vacuum turns back on pushing the front down and resuming the cleaning. You can either turn the Kleen-Machine off when it is done cleaning the pool or let it run and it will automatically shut off in two hours. To remove the pool cleaner from the water simply pull the Kleen-Machine to the surface by the cord then grab the handle and lift it out of the water. Clean water inside the Kleen Machine quickly drains out of the pool cleaner and back into the pool by way of the rapid drain system. Clean the filter bag and put the Kleen-Machine away until the next time you need to clean the pool.

The Kleen-Machine PTKM100 Robotic Pool Cleaner Has lightweight modular construction and only a screwdriver is needed for servicing. The Kleen-Machine is sold for $449.99 at both Costco and BJ’s, and has a 6-Month Full Warranty and a 1-Year Limited Warranty.
