The Hayward Super Pump is available in 6 single speed sizes from ½ to 2 ½ horsepower, and in 3 dual speed sizes in 1, 1 ½, and 2 horsepower. The ½ horsepower super pump is 115-volt, the ¾ to 2 horsepower single speed models are dual voltage operating on either 115 or, 230-volts, and the 2 ½ horsepower single speed and all dual speed models operate on 230-volts only. The ½ through 1 ½ horsepower single speed pumps use 1 ½” pipes and all others use 2” pipes.

The Hayward Super Pump is designed for ease of use for the pool owner. The strainer has a Lexan cover that you can see through allowing you to verify that water is moving through the pump and see if the basket requires cleaning. The basket has a 110 cu. in. capacity and special ribbing that allows free flow through the basket allowing longer times between cleaning the basket. The strainer cover is easy to remove with 2 easy to turn knobs that swing away when loosened requiring no tools to remove the cover. The Super Pump is self-priming with up to 8’ of suction lift so there are no pump priming headaches.

The design and construction of the Hayward Super Pump ensures long service life and high reliability by using components built to last. The motor is high performance and heavy duty with air flow openings on the bottom half of the motor allowing outdoor installation without the need for a cover and quiet cool operation. All of the pump components are molded from thermoplastic so they cannot corrode from exposure to the elements or, pool chemicals. The pump impeller is constructed from corrosion proof materials and has a high flowing energy efficient design. The pump uses an extra large ceramic seal to ensure no leaks on the shaft.

The Hayward Super Pump has readily available parts and is exceptionally easy to work on ensuring it can be quickly fixed when something does wear out or breaks. The motor is easily obtainable and you can use either a 48 or 56 frame motor for the replacement. If an internal part needs replacement you can remove the entire motor and drive components with the removal of just 4 bolts allowing you to work on the pump components and motor without having to disconnect any pipes.
