The EasyTemp is controlled by an electronic board that can control the temperature of your pool to within ½ degree F from the temperature you set for maximum comfort. The Hayward EasyTemp heat pump pool heater is well constructed for years of reliable service with a UV resistant plastic cabinet that is essentially maintenance free, the operation of the heat pump on occasion will generate condensation and the plastic cabinet is well suited to handle the exposure to the moisture. The maintenance on the EasyTemp is limited to keeping the drains on the plastic cabinet clear, the evaporator coil may accumulate dirt and can simply be sprayed with a hose to clean it without damaging the fins. The water quality is important with any pool heater to protect the heat exchanger and strict control of PH, Chlorine Concentration, Total Alkalinity, Total Dissolved Solids, and Calcium Hardness should be maintained in your pool water for maximum life of the pool heater. The winterization of the Hayward EasyTemp is a snap where all you have to do is shut off power to the unit, break the union connections at the inlet and outlet, then either tilt and get all the water out or, blow it out with air, then reconnect the water lines, and cover the unit to keep snow from getting inside.
