The Dunkirk Quantum Q90-200 Series Condensing Gas Boilers have an efficiency of 90% AFUE giving it the right to carry the Energy Star Seal. Boilers that have the Energy Star Seal are eligible for Appliance Stimulus Package rebates of $50 – 200, grants under the Weatherization Assistance Program of up to $6500 if you qualify, and are eligible for Tax Credits as well. The Dunkirk Quantum Q90-200 Series Condensing Boiler takes the heat of the flue gases and uses the heat to preheat the water going into the boiler. This takes so much of the heat out of the flue gases that steam in the flue gases condense to water releasing the latent heat of steam. The flue gases are so cool after going through the condensing boiler that they may be exhausted through a CPVC & PVC pipe. In addition the exhaust emissions are 30% lower in CO and 50% lower in NOx emissions than conventional boilers making the Quantum Q-90-200 Series “Green” as these emissions are a major component of acid rain and smog. The Dunkirk Quantum Q90-200 Series Condensing Gas Boiler can be fired with natural or LP gas. The Quantum Q90-200 Series uses a cast aluminum mono block heat exchanger in a painted heavy gauge steel jacket with the entire boiler weighing 284 Lbs. and measuring 40 ¼” H X 20 1/8” W X 32 5/16” D. The Q90-200 Series Boilers use a microprocessor based control which monitors all of the safety functions such as high limit, low water cut off, hot surface ignition and flame sensing, casting temperature switch, and the air pressure differential proving switch. It also controls the operations sequencing, of the hot plate ignition, draft inducer, combustion blower, stainless steel pre-mix burner mixture, and operation, gas valve, and diagnostic functions as well. Also supplied is a transformer, a 1 ¼” Taco or, Grundfos circulator pump with full port isolation valves, temperature pressure gauge, relief valve, and a service switch pre-wired with a 5’ BX cable pigtail ready for installation. The Q90-200 does not have a tankless coil but can supply domestic hot water with an indirect water heater. The Dunkirk Quantum Q90-200 Series Condensing Gas Boiler is supplied with a 1-Year Parts Warranty on the on the entire boiler with a 15-Year Parts Warranty on the heat exchanger which is pro-rated after 10 years.
