The Crown Kingston KSZ Oil Fired Steam Boiler is available in three sizes ranging from three to five section boilers with 9 models having DOE heating capacities from 78,000 to 235,000 BTU/HR with efficiencies ranging from 82.9 to 84.9% AFUE. Crown Boiler Company is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was started in 1949 as a family owned and operated business. With the introduction of a residential boiler line in the 70’s the company underwent rapid growth and is a national manufacturer today.

The Crown Kingston KSZ Oil Fired Steam Boilers can be ordered with a choice of Beckett, Carlin, and Riello burners. They are also available in a shorty-pac where the burner and controls are shipped separately allowing easier handling of the packages. The Kingston KSZ has a cast iron boiler with sections joined by steel push nipples below the water line and extra large cast iron push nipples above the water line to facilitate better flows of the water, higher steam quality, and provide greater service life of the heat exchanger. The heat exchanger is a wet base design with the combustion chamber completely surrounded by water for maximum heat transfer, with a ceramic fiber target wall at the rear of the combustion chamber and has a large swing door for easy cleaning along with an insulated powder coated split jacket that is easily removed for service access during cleanings. The Crown Kingston KSZ Oil Fired Steam Boilers require the use of an approved chimney for exhausting the flue gases. The Crown Kingston KSZ Boilers feature a 3” supply tap on the top of the unit, and are available with a side mount domestic hot water tankless coil or, connections can be used for the installation of an indirect water heater. While there are 3 physical sizes of the Crown Kingston KSZ Boilers there are 9 model numbers that cover different firing rates from 0.65 GPH with 78,000 BTU/HR to 2.00 GPH with 235,000 BTU/HR. All Crown Kingston KSZ Boilers are fully assembled ready for installation with the control system fully tested before being shipped. Standard equipment on the Crown KSZ Boilers include low water cut off, ASME relief valve, drain valve, twist lock burner disconnect plug, oil solenoid valve, pressure gauge, and draft regulator. The Crown Kingston KSZ Oil Fired Steam Boilers are provided with a 1-Year Parts warranty on the entire boiler, 12-Year Parts Warranty on the cast iron heat exchanger and there are optional 5 and 10-Year Extended Warranty programs available covering parts and labor on the entire unit. The extended warranty coverage is transferable to new owners if the home is sold.
