The modulating feature has a burner that throttles to match you heating demand so the fuel use if carefully matched to your actual heating needs. The Crown Bimini uses a microprocessor-based control that monitors the heating demand and controls the modulation of the burner for the most efficient and highest comfort operation possible. The fuel is thoroughly mixed in the burner fan before going to the stainless steel burner for the best possible combustion and efficiency. The Condensing boiler is the other half of the high efficiency equation. In a condensing boiler the boiler has an extra section that uses the heat present in the flue gases to preheat the water coming into the boiler. This extra section removes so much of the heat that steam present in the flue gases actually condense into water and the exhausting flue gases are cool enough that they can exhaust through PVC pipe. With the clean burning and high efficiency comes an added benefit. The exhaust emissions of the Mod-Con boilers as we refer to them in the trade are exceptionally clean and have low emissions of CO and NOx, which is good for the environment and lowers the emissions that contribute to smog and global warming. The Crown Bimini Residential High Efficiency Gas Boilers feature six models with the BWC070, BWC090, BWC120, and BWC151 having an aluminum mono block heat exchanger and being able to be wall mounted with a wall bracket supplied as standard equipment. A pedestal option is available for floor mounting of these smaller units if desired. The larger and heavier BWC150, and BWC225 feature a 3 and 4 section cast aluminum boiler and are floor mounted only. Standard equipment on all the Crown Bimini Residential High Efficiency Gas Boilers is the microprocessor-based control with its touch pad and digital display where all the operating parameters are controlled and adjusted. The Crown Bimini’s have domestic hot water priority, outdoor reset sensor, direct spark ignition, pump controls for heating and DHW, low water cutoff, Taco circulator pump, and come factory assembled, pre-wired, with a powder coated steel jacket that has a 2-tone textured finish. The smaller models have a wall mounting bracket and a polypropylene concentric vent system included as standard equipment with optional equipment including a kit for floor mounting on a pedestal and an adapter for venting with stainless steel. The 2 larger models have an option of being vented with a concentric polypropylene venting system with the purchase of an optional adapter. The Crown Bimini Residential High Efficiency Gas Boilers do not have a domestic hot water coil but when a well insulated high efficiency indirect water heater is put on a separate zone abundant amounts of hot water can be supplied quite economically.
