Carlin EZ Pro Oil Burner Review

The Carlin EZ Pro Oil Burner is available in three configurations, which have firing rates from 0.5 to 2.50 gallons per hour. Carlin Combustion Technologies Inc. is based in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts and is one of the leaders in the oil burner industry. Carlin Oil Burners are supplied as OEM Burners on many heating products by a wide variety of manufacturers. Carlin manufactures oil, gas and multi fuel burners along with igniters, controls, and components for the burners for both residential and commercial uses.

The Carlin EZ Pro Oil Burner is available in the EZ-1, which fires at 0.5 to 1.65 gallons per hour, the EZ-2, which fires at 1.50 to 2.25 gallons per hour, and the EZ-3, which fires at 2.00 to 2.50 gallons per hour. The EZ Pro is designed to burn #1 or #2 fuel oil.

The Carlin EZ Pro Oil Burner uses 120 VAC, 60 Hz. single-phase power, and uses about 5.8 amperes of current while running. A PSC 1/6 HP. 3450 RPM motor powers the blower and pump, which is a NEMA 48-frame motor with an “M” flange. The limit circuit, oil valve, and nozzle line heater are fed with 120 VAC. The ignition of the Carlin EZ Pro uses a Carlin model 41000 solid-state ignition module, which supplies a whopping 14,000 volts to ignite the flame of the burner. The Carlin Model 60200 burner control is a microprocessor, which controls a pre and post purge, which helps keep the burner clean and also controls the 15-second trial for ignition, the 1.3-second flame failure response time, with automatic recycling that occurs on flame failure and a reset that latches after 3 lockouts providing the safety you need. The Carlin model 60200 control also features diagnostic LED’s to aid in troubleshooting and is compatible with thermostats and aquastats. The Carlin EZ Pro is UL listed in both US and in Canada.
