The Burnham ES2 High Efficiency Natural Draft Gas Boiler is available in 7 sizes or, models with firing inputs ranging from 70 to 280 MBH all of which have an efficiency of 85% AFUE. This is the only natural draft cast iron boiler to reach this high level of efficiency and carry the energy star rating. The Burnham ES2 High Efficiency Natural Draft Gas Boiler is built around its time proven cast iron boiler cast from BC25-HSi high silicon grey iron for a long service life and has the modern IQ Control System added on to it to optimize performance. The IQ Control System uses optional plug n play modules to add additional features such as outdoor reset, low water cut out, and aquastat, The IQ Control System has an optional 3.5” LCD touch screen where operating parameters may be set and functions read in addition to diagnostics being performed. The boiler is wrapped in an insulated powder coated steel jacket with all the controls hidden under an attractive front cover. The Gas burner is set to fire on natural gas but can be converted with an easy to install conversion kit for propane that fits all models. The gas burner lights in steps for quiet smooth starts and the unit has a built in diverter hood with a factory installed spill switch for safety. The supply and return taps are located where they should be able to connect to existing piping without a lot of pipe work simplifying boiler replacement installation. The Burnham ES2 High Efficiency Natural Draft Gas Boiler is designed where an existing chimney may be used but a liner must be used. The Burnham ES2 is supplied with the vent damper, 1 ¼”circulator pump and gasket set, 30-psi pressure relief valve, temperature pressure gauge, and drain valve. The ES2 does not have a domestic hot water coil but when an indirect water heater is installed on a separate zone will make abundant hot water. The Burnham ES2 High Efficiency Natural Draft Gas Boiler is also provided with a 1-Year Parts Warranty on the entire unit followed by a Lifetime Parts Warranty on the cast Iron Heat Exchanger, which is pro-rated after 11 years of service. Optional 5 and 10-Year plans are available which will cover all parts and labor.
