The Buderus Logano G215 Oil/Gas Fired Boiler is available in 5 models which have heating capacities from 134 to 294 MBH all of which have an efficiency of 86% AFUE or better which makes them Energy Star Rated Boilers when fired on oil. When fired on gas the Logano G215’s have a combined efficiency of 83.5% so the G215’s are not Energy Star Rated when fired on gas. Having the Energy Star rating is important because it signifies the boiler meets standards of efficiency and makes purchasers eligible to receive a variety of Rebates, Grants, and Tax Credits for installing a Buderus G215 Boiler. The Buderus G215 boiler purchasers are eligible for up to a $200 Rebate under the Appliance Stimulus Package, a Grant up to $6500 under the Weatherization Assistance Program if you qualify, and Income Tax Credit of 30% of the money you spend to have a Buderus G215 installed in your home up to $1500. These incentives are part of the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act which is seeking to provide incentives to consumers which will stimulate the economy providing work for the US employees of Buderus and the installers while providing a savings on energy consumption and lowering our dependence on foreign energy. The Buderus Logano G215 Oil/Gas Fired Boilers use a modified 3-pass boiler with inserts in the 2nd and 3rd pass sections to maximize heating efficiency, and have a wide opening swing door front that can be hinged on either side to allow quick and easy cleanings of the boiler to maintain maximum efficiency. The Buderus G215 Boilers are supplied with out a burner allowing you to choose a Beckett, Carlin or, Riello oil burner from a list of compatible burners or, a Riello 40 G400N w/SBT gas burner. You may also elect to have the Logano G215 Boiler installed with the optional Logamatic control, which is a microprocessor based control that will give you even higher savings and comfort while controlling boiler functions such as domestic hot water, heating, day/night setback, vacation mode and even summer winter changeover among the functions it controls. The Buderus Logano G215 does not have a domestic hot water coil but when installed with a Buderus Indirect Hot Water Tank will supply you with abundant hot water in a tank that can be installed under your G215 stacked to have a small system footprint. For stacking purposes the G215/3&5 can be used with an LT160, LT200, or LT300 indirect water heater, while the G215/5 can be used with the LT200 or, LT300 and the G216/6 can be stacked on the LT300. The hardware kit for stacking the boiler on top of the LT indirect water heaters is not provided and is purchased separately. Included with the G215 boilers is an aquastat, or, control panel, the boiler can come assembled as a block or, in sections, the jacket, 3” insulation, supply manifold, relief valve, drain valve, and a pressure temperature gauge.
