The SpaceSavr 20E is made by Bock Water Heaters Inc. of Madison, Wisconsin, which is a quiet company that no one ever thinks about, yet they manage to have their oil fired residential water heaters installed in a vast majority of the homes that rely on oil for heat. Their high quality has earned them an almost legendary reputation for durability and operation along with a phenomenal output of seemingly endless hot water. Perhaps the reason they are so quiet is many owners experience a thirty year service life of their oil fired Bock water heaters.
The Bock SpaceSavr 20E Oil Fired Water Heater features Turboflue which is a flue lined with spiraling thin fins that absorb much of the heat out of the flue gases transmitting it to the water in the tank giving the SpaceSavr 20E a high output. The SpaceSavr 20E is constructed out of heavy 12 gauge (7/64”) thick steel, and the tank and Turboflue are coated with C-glass which is a cobalt enriched porcelain enamel glass, that is highly resistant to aggressive water. The Bock SpaceSavr 20E Oil Fired Water Heaters also come with two magnesium anode rods to protect the tank from corrosion. The Bock SpaceSavr 20E measures just 38’ tall and 20” in diameter and can also be sidewall vented using an optional sidewall vent and intake kit from Bock. The SpaceSavr 20E comes with a Carlin EZ-LF oil burner which fires at 0.43 GPH providing 60,000 BTU/HR to heat the water. The storage capacity of the SpaceSavr 20E can be doubled by using a SpaceSavr Companion 20ST, which is an insulated storage tank that holds 20 gallons, yet measures only 27 5/8” high and 20” in diameter. The SpaceSavr Companion 20ST can be installed remotely from the SpaceSavr 20E with just pipes interconnecting them. The Bock SpaceSavr 20E comes with the inlet and outlet nipples, T&P valve, and drain valve factory installed. The Carlin EZ-LF Burner and Aquastat are packaged separately but are pre-wired and ready for installation. The Bock SpaceSavr 20E Oil Fired Water Heater comes with a 5-Year Warranty when used in residential service and a 3-Year warranty in commercial use.
