The Champion4 toilet has a checkered past. Despite it’s strong flushing performance, and high sales it has been dogged by nagging problems since its initial debut. The complaints have been primarily the initial flush tower design of the flush valve, a difficult to tighten tank to bowl connection, tank rocking, and leaking patches applied to the vitreous china in various locations. Now in its 4th design the flush tower has been replaced with their “Accelerator” flush valve, yet the tank is still difficult to mount and even when tightened to an almost scary tight where you think you are on the verge of breaking the toilet, the tank still remains loose and rocking.
