The York-Shipley Global Boiler line includes:

  • Dry-Back Firetube Design Boilers in the 400C and 500C Series with three and four-pass steam & hot water boiler designs operating at 15-300 PSIG. The 400C Series is available in capacities from 30-1,300 BHP, and the 500C Series is available in capacities from 25-1,000 BHP. Standard burners on the Dry-Back Boilers can burn natural or, LP gas, digester gas, and #2-#6 fuel oils or, combinations of fuel, and be configured to meet low emission and high altitude operating requirements. The Dry-Back Boilers utilize a centerline design to achieve a uniform stress increasing the service life, a downdraft design to promote greater heat transfer, and have complete natural water circulation over all the firetubes and the furnace allowing non-dissolved solids to easily fall to the bottom where they can be removed with a blowdown. The front and rear covers are hinged allowing access from both ends for cleaning or, replacement of the tubes.
  • Water-Back Firetube Design Boilers in the 400L and 500L Series with three and four-pass steam boiler designs operating at 15-300 PSIG. The 400L Series is available in capacities from 25-1,100 BHP, and the 500L Series is available in capacities from 20-1,000 BHP. Standard burners on the Water-Back Boilers can burn natural or, LP gas, digester gas, and #2-#6 fuel oils or, combinations of fuel, and be configured to meet low emission and high altitude operating requirements. The Water-Back Boilers utilize a offset furnace to achieve a low stress design, a large water volume and a liberal steam storage for maintaining swing load operation, and a submerged rear combustion reversing chamber that is cylindrical shaped allow any scale that forms to easily fall to the bottom where they can be removed with a blowdown. The front and rear covers are on davited hinges allowing access for cleaning, maintenance and inspection.
  • Vertical Tube Boilers in the Series VTB are available in 7-30 BHP capacities with a small footprint to generate hot water or, steam at 30-150 PSIG. The Series VTB Boilers can burn natural or, LP gas, and #2 fuel oils or, combinations of fuel. The VTB’s have an integral condensate storage tank and the feedwater pump assembly is pre-piped and mounted making the unit self-contained. Options include low emission and high altitude equipment as well as chemical feeds, blowdown separators, water softeners and other controls.

    Working with a client that desires to supplement his existing cogeneration system with a small boiler.
    Criteria:
    Gas Flow from 500 to 2,000 CFH
    Gas:
    raw digester gas
    scrubbed digester gas
    natural gas.

    Need unit that can operate within the gas flow ranges stated. Smallest footprint is another criteria
