		<description>I have a grid type with the barrel pipe plug. The drain is pretty old and the cotter pin that attaches to the linkage arm had rusted away causing the barrel to seat into the pipe. Luckily your instructions saved me a ton of money as I was able to retrieve the barrel with a hooked coathanger. I replaced the pin and now the drain is flowing free, which as long as I have remembered never worked at all (using rubber stopper mat). Thank you so much for your advice.

I&#039;m not really sure what you are referring to as the trap because the trap is actually the U-shaped drain pipe underneath the tub. See this link http://411plumb.com/p-traps

In the pictures above what type drain do you have and what is stuck?
